Does the UK have a "Ron Paul"...?

I was musing today whether we here in the UK have our own "Ron Paul", struggling to protect Libertarian principles such as limited government, civil liberties and free markets.  The nearest I have found so far is Douglas Carswell, the MP for Clacton, a constituency within 20 miles of me.

Now, I'm not sure Carswell has the Libertarian credentials of Ron Paul, but I did like this article about how the internet will enable us to live without Big Government.  Of course, it will also need a radical change in our individual thinking; away from always looking for someone to blame or to pick up the pieces when things in our lives go wrong, to facing up to reality with personal responsibility and initiative.
