The Cyclical View of History

The Pagan religions (as opposed to the Judeo/Christian/Islamic religions) all had a theory of time that was cyclical in nature.  Broadly speaking, the theory proposed that Humanity would descend from a Golden Age, where justice and peace naturally reigned, to the final age, marked as follows:

"And Dharma becomes very weak in the Kali age, and people commit sin in mind, speech, and actions... Quarrels, plague, fatal diseases, famines, drought, and calamities appear. Testimonies and proofs have no certainty. There is no criterion left when the Kali age settles down. People become poorer in vigour and luster. They are wicked, full of anger, sinful, false, and avaricious. Bad ambitions, bad education, bad dealings, and bad earnings excite fear. The whole batch becomes greedy and untruthful. Many sudras will become kings, and many heretics will be seen."

What age are we in now?  I think that is obvious!

The cyclical view of history explains the nonsense that is "history" as taught in the mainstream.  For example, how so called "primitive" cultures could build monuments such as the Great Pyramid of Giza, in all it's mathematical and engineering glory.  Or why flying machines called "Vimana" are mentioned in ancient Indian texts.

The reason is simple: because Ancient Cultures, now long decayed, were more technologically advanced than our own.

For those of you that are interested in the theory of cyclical history, there is an in-depth article at New Dawn Magazine.
